Domain theft is becoming a major issue in China

The reports indicate that a growing number of domains registered with GoDaddy are stolen by using an email portal phishing scheme and then moved to the Chinese domain registrar, Ename.

Unfortunately, the Chinese registrar fails to comply with legitimate requests to transfer the domains back to GoDaddy, hence the domain owners are fighting back either through Registrar DRP proceedings or lawsuits under the Anti-Cybersquatting Protection Act and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.
